Name of the Day
What do you think of the name of the day, Theodore? Do you like any of its masculine variations better, such as Theodorus? Do you like the nickname Teddy? Do you prefer Theodore over Theodora?

It's okay, but I prefer the Ethiopian form Tewodros and Thaddeus.

I love Theodore, especially with nickname Theo. Teddy is ok as a nickname too.
Theodora is a nice name as well, but I prefer Thea. So Theodore is a bit nicer than Theodora imo.

Theodore is one of my favourite names except I prefer the shortened Theo. Not a fan of Theodorus. Teddy is okay, but I prefer Theo. And I prefer the masculine to the feminine version just because I love a tonne of girls names, and not many boys names so I like to savour the masculine form when I find I like a name.

I like it well enough, but not enough to actually use it. I prefer Teodor, Teodoro, and Teo to Theodore. I like Teddy for when he's young and Ted for when he's older. I think I do prefer Theodore over Theodora, just because I like other "dora" names so much more than Theodora.Something I've been wondering: How're names of the day chosen? Is it random, or is there a system that I'm not aware of? Just something I've been curious about.

I don't like the sound of Theodore. I think it sounds super wimpy, indoorsy, and about as masculine as eyelet lace. Especially if he is called "Theo." I like Theodora much more. It's a good name. The only variant of Theodore that I kinda like is Fedor, and Teo is alright. Ted is decent. Teddy is a childhood nickname, or else it's theatrically butch, like on Teddy Roosevelt. Theodorus is better than Theodore, but not a whole lot.

I love it! I only like the nn Theo. I like Theodora equally, with nn Thea. I don't prefer any male alternatives. I like Althea a lot too.

I love, love, love Theodore. I can't quite make up my mind which spelling I prefer though, the more international Theodore or Theodor, which is Swedish and how it's spelled within my family.I like Theodorus as well, but not on a real kid. It's a little "trying too hard". My favorite nickname is Theo, but Teddy is alright as well. And I prefer Theodore over Theodora which I don't like anymore, although I used to.

I love Theodora, but not a huge fan of the male Thoedore. I like Theo better than Ted or Teddy, but I could get behind it if I met one. Tad would be a bit cooler than the others too. I always thought that if I was going to go bold with a Theo-name... I would go for broke with Theophilus. I know a guy whose family uses Theophilus as a middle name for all the eldest sons (William Theophilus, Jr, III, IV, etc).

I like Theodore, and the nickname Teddy is so cute! I also like the Spanish & Hungarian variations, Teodoro (nn Teo), Teodor & Todor. I'm really not a fan of Theodora, though.
