Margret is just my preferred spelling. Just doesn't have the A, that's all
Its a different from the original, more well known and "proper" spelling without being "Eccentric or tacky or silly." It's a different spelling but it isn't a butchered spelling in my opinion. I guess thats what i"'m trying to say (:

Aw, I would have kept Katherine Marlene.
I dislike Adalyn. It's not real to me - it's like Madalyn. It's supposed to be ADELINE...
Anyway. Of those first names I prefer Margret. Which by the way is IMO a legit variant spelling, and is familiar enough to use because of actress Ann-Margret. Amelia Adalyn sounds like uh-meal-ya-addlin' and Georgina is nice so I vote to throw A.A.

Yeah... well, I think the meal sound problem actually might not matter in real life. I like Emilia, and it has a similar sound. In fact it's almost identical in my accent. There's just something about the spelling Amelia and the sound of it, that turns me off. Amelia is getting pretty popular, though, so I suspect I'm in a smallish minority.
I'm going off the BtN entry for Adalyn, which says it's a variant of Adeline. Are you thinking of it as Ada + Lynn instead? Either way it seems decent to me, I just personally don't care for the style / look of it.

Ditch Margret. Unless you live in Iceland, it makes you look like you can't spell.

I get that "Margaret" may be the more normal and "proper" spelling but I much prefer the spelling of Margret.
In Iceland, I believe it would be spelled with an accent (Margret) so not entirely sure if Margret and Margret are even the exact same

I would cross off Amelia Adalyn from the first set. I love all three first names (Georgina, Amelia and Margaret, this spelling). But I crossed off Amelia Adalyn because the repeated initials are kind of distracting. It's not a big deal but I had to come up with some reason and that's it.
As for the second group, Katherine Maelene would get voted off of my island. I don't know what a Maelene is and I don't have any desire to figure it out. On your poll, I voted for Katherine (prefer "Katharine" for an old world feeling) Aleida -- so pretty.
