In need of a name for a change of life baby
In need of a name for a change of life baby. For instance Arabella-meaning answered prayer.

For a girl, Beatrice. Forget the Viatrix meaning - I think it's a false etymology anyway - and go with "the girl who makes you happy".No clue for a boy, though Felix would be good for a change-of-life cat.

You can search the database on the website here by words found in the meaning of the name. I tried a few. Here are names with the word new in the meaning: http://www.behindthename.com/names/meaning/new
And some with life: http://www.behindthename.com/names/meaning/life
prayer: http://www.behindthename.com/names/meaning/prayer
bless: http://www.behindthename.com/names/meaning/bless

Arabella doesn't mean answered prayer. It maybe means "lovable" which is really nice though. Also interestingly it contains the Latin elements ara (curse) and bella (war). How deliciously complex.Anyways, how about:Eliana (my God has answered)
Nima (blessing)
Ekundayo (sorrow becomes joy)
Atiya (gift)
Dara (gift)
Jesse (gift)
Theodore, Theodora, Dorothea, Dorothy (gift from god
Beatrix (voyager, traveller - with the poetic meaning that the baby travelled a long way to get here) - also Beatrix is associated with beata (blessed), so you could sort of say it means "blessed arrival, blessed traveller"...and in that same vein on poetic arrivals
Ferdinand (a brave journey)
Dayo (joy arrives)
Maeva (welcome)
Aspasia (welcome, embrace)
Evangeline (good news)

How about just choosing the name you like the most? As far as meanings go, Nayeli has the best imo.

I agree. My cousin who is a change of life baby is Shelly Marie. No special meaning, just a name my aunt and uncle agreed on.

Also agree– my grandparents had my uncle when my mom and her sister were 18 and 17 and he was named Robert Michael. The only special meaning was that they'd had a son named Michael who'd died when he was 11.
