Since you asked, I'll sock it to ya. Hopefully I can help you to like it TONS more! Enjoy.Like all the -IAH names, it sounds to me like a white-bearded, woman-stoning type of fellow. (the only real reason I don't like it)The name Micaiah doesn't mind if you think it reads the Bible, but it totally doesn't. It just spins that sassy gendery McSoundah that is so 2013 with the ancient Hebrewy style - so clever; and it isn't popular of course. So it's got hipster heart enough for three or four names.I guess your pronunciation should seem intuitive because it's like eye-ZAY-ah for Isaiah. I tend to say mik-KY-ah though, which is after all closer to the original pronunciation, and I think it would be (mis?)pronounced that way often enough to be distracting. - mirfak

Tritto. I don't remember seeing this name here much, so maybe the comments are via the name's page? It does sound like part of the Mc- family, which some people dislike for girls because it means 'son of---'. It's also a less common Biblical name. So either way, it's a love/ hate group for some people.

LOL gendery McSoundah Hebrewy style is so bang on. Micaiah sounds shallow and trendy and like yet another mangling of the Michaela/Mckaya/Mcshayla family. This is only further proof of my unworthiness, I'm sure. I'm just not smart enough to differentiate between Mykaeyah the shrill spoiled brat and Micaiah the mountaintop goatherd philosopher.
