Re: Names for my Cabbage Patch Kids
Wow! Thanks so much for the lovely response! You have given me lots to think about. I'd love to know what their original names were as well. Almost everyone had lost their original, so I had to give them new names. Heidi, Amy, and Edwina were the only ones who have their original name. Alison Shimona Jayne was Monna Jayne originally. I didn't care for the name Monna, so I tweaked it a little, and made it her middle name. Plus, I had to have an Alison somewhere, and it does suit her!I thought Theia Dora was clever. I wanted both a Theia and a Theodora, so I decided to split the name up. Of course, if she was Theodora, she could just get called Theia. I've always loved the name Jolyon, ever since I heard it in Forsyte Saga. It's an old name too I think. I think Sybil is a cute name. Of course, it makes me think of Lady Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey. You have a point about Mikkayla's middle name. I was actually considering changing it. Olivia's middle name isn't great either. Your comment was funny! Olive Juice! Earlier today in fact, I was thinking of changing it.

As for Angus, the name looks really cute on him. I don't know why I chose that name. I guess I was thinking of Scottish names.Jasmine Kiara is usually called Jessie. I hadn't even thought of the Disney Princess thing. It's funny, because I see her more as a tomboy. LOLPiper Jamie is a girl. I used Piper as a middle name for one of my earlier Kids, and liked it, so I used it again as a first name for her. Bonnie Alba is Scottish for "Beautiful Scotland". I wanted a very Scottish name for her.
