Re: WDYTO
If I don't immediately think of the one most likely full name they'd be after, I can just accept them as complete names when I hear them, and I like many of them that way. These all seem like whole names to me:
Sherry, Shelly, Kelly, Jamie, Holly, Terry, Kerry, *Tracy, Stacy, Leslie, Amy, Brandy, Darcy, Ivy, Mary, Marie, Ruby, Larry, Bailey, Hailey, Kayley, Ashley, Carrie, Molly, Sally, Gary, Lacey, Macy, Harry, Dewey, Valerie, Casey, Poppy, Henry, Natalie, Rosalie, Polly, Sadie, etc.Names that I "feel" as short or familiar forms:
Jessie, Tommy, Kathy / Cathy, Sandy, Mandy, Mindy, Cassie, Bobby, Robby, Georgie, Sophie, Sylvie (sort of), Jackie (sort of), Judy, Mattie, Marty, Maddie, Milly, Jerry, Shari, Hattie, Patty, Bessie, Betty, Vicki, Nicky, Ricky, Lottie, Billy, Willie, Christie, Cindy (sort of), Eddie, Addie, Louie, Huey, Gracie, Lexie, Alfie, Dottie, Andy, Archie, Peggy, Rosie, Roxie, Connie, etc.
