Abigail
Adriana
Alana(They have different sounds to me. The second A in Alana is as in mad, but in Alanna the second A is as in pawn.
Alaina
Alea/Aleah/Aliah/Alia -prefer the original, Aaliyah.
Alicia
Allison
Alyssa
Amy
Anna/Ana (these have two different sounds. Anna is A as in bat and Ana is A as in pawn.)
Anabel
Arielle
Ashley
Audrey
Bailey -But only on a boy.
Beatrice/Beatrix -Not the same name, so not really an alternative spelling. I used to prefer Beatrice to Beatrix but I think I've swapped.
Bethany
Bianca
Brenna
Brianna
Caitlin
Callie
Callista/Calista -doesn't matter to me.
Karissa
Carly
Caroline
Cassidy
Clare
Colleen
Daisie
Dana
Daniela
Dina/Dinah -These are seperate names. Dina is Dee-nuh but Dinah is Dye-nuh, as in the song "Dinah blow your horn." I much prefer Dinah.
Edith
Eleanor
Elise
Elizabeth
Emily
Emma
Gabriella
Georgia
Hailey
Hannah
Harmony
Heidi
Holly/Hollie -Either is fine
Isabel
Isabella
Jamie/Jaime -either of these is fine. Only on a boy.
Kayla
Kenzie
Kimberly
Kylie
Lainey/Laynie -I prefer Laney.
Leah
Leanne
Leila/Leilah/Laila -These are different names to me. Leila and Leilah are like Lay-luh but Laila is more like Lie-luh.
Lorraine
Mackenzie -Only on a boy though.
Madeline
Malia/Maleah -Two different names to me. Malia is like -Molly-uh and Maleah is like Muh-Leah.
Marni
Molly/Mollie -Either is fine.
Natalie
Nicole
Olivia
Rachel
Rebecca
Riley/Reilly -Either, but only on a boy.
Roxana/Roxanna -Either is fine

I find it hard to believe that some of these 'alternatives' even exist. But, for what it's worth:Abigail - gosh, the 'alternatives'are funny
Adriana
Ainsley/Ainslee/Ainslie/Ainsleigh/Ainsly/Aynslee/Aynsley/Aynslie - nonsense!
Alanna, though I prefer Alannah
Alicia
Alison
Alyssa
Amy
Anna/Ana - either, depending on the language
Annabel or Anabel, depending on the language
Arielle, on gender grounds
Ashley
Audrey - why is Audie in quotes?
Bailey/Bailee/Baylee/Baylie - uniformly yuck; at least Bailey has some authenticity
Beatrice/Beatrix - depends on the pronunciation
Bethany - but Bethan, actually
Bianca/Bionca - nonsense!
Blair/Blaire - adding an -e to a ln doth not a fn make
Brenna/Brynna - Brenda, if necessary
Brianna
Caitlin
Callie/Calleigh - eh?
Callista/Calista - depends on the language
Carissa
Carley/Carlie/Carly/Carli - eh?
Caroline/Carolyn - depends on the pronunciation
Cassidy/Cassidi/Cassidie - oh, please!
Claire/Clare -depends on the language
Colleen
Daisy
Dana/Dayna/Daina - where I live, Dana is male and the others don't exist
Daniella/Daniela - depends on the language
Dina/Dinah - depends on the language
Edith
Eleanor or Elinor
Elise
Elizabeth
Emily
Emma

I usually prefer the spelling that is commonly used. Everything else usually makes it really hard for the child later in life. But of course, I understand that there are some spellings that aren't as popular but you still want to use (this applies to me as well).Abigail
Adriana
Ainsley
Alana
Alea/Alia - I love Alia, but Alea is nice, too!
Alicia
Allison
Alissa - not really a fan of y-names
Amy/Amie - Amie is interesting, but needs getting used to
Anna/Ana - Hard to tell... I probably prefer Ana but I always think of a sickly, frail girl when I hear it
Annabel - not a fan of -belle names
Ariel - can only imagine this name on a boy
Ashleigh - really tough to decide because I really detest this name
Audrey - Audrie looks interesting, but I think it's too much of a made up name
Bailee - not a fan of this name either, but since Bailey is a no-go I choose Bailee
Beatrice
Bethany
Bianca
Blaire
Brenna
Briana
Caitlin
Callie
Callista/Calista - I like them equally well
Carissa/Carisa - hard to decide... Carisa is not as boring as Carlissa
Carlie
Caroline
Cassidy
Claire - I like Clare, too, but it always feels like an "i" is missing...
Colene
Daisy/Daisie - since I really detest Daisy, the -ie version makes it a little better, although it needs getting used to

Abigail
Ainsley, but I really don't like this name anyway.
Alana/Alanna (a-LAN-a) both are fine with me
Alicia
Alison/Allison/Allyson/Alyson I hate this name, so I really don't care.
Alyssa/
Amy, but I also like Aimee.
Anna
Annabel this name needs two n's, but the extra le is just over the top.
Ariel/Arielle don't like this name, so don't care
Ashley I feel like it looks trashy any other way
Audrey
Bailey
Beatrice, but Beatrix is nice too.
Bethany/Bethani ugh. I hate this name.
Bianca
Blair
Brenna because Brynna just looks like it's trying too hard, in my opinion
Brianna
Caitlin
Callie
Callista
Carissa
Carley/Carlie/Carly/Carli I really don't like the name Carly in any form
Caroline
Cassidy I've always seen this as a boy's name
Claire or Clare
Colleen
Daisy you're naming your kid for a flower, so give it the flower's actual name.
Dana
Daniella, but I prefer Danielle
Dina
Edith
Eleanor or Elinor
Elise
Elizabeth the yz combination in Elyzabeth weirds me out
