Jasper Nathaniel & Margaret Ellen
These two names are shining bright for me at the moment. How do you feel about them? Margaret Ellen is actually my great-great-great-grandmother's sister's name, and I would use it exactly. I have always admired the sisters in her family (Alice Augusta, Annie Keturah, Margaret Ellen, Julia Ann, Sallie Louise, Marian Elmira "Myra"). So Margaret Ellen is now shortlisted. And Jasper. I always know I am in a happier state of mind when Jasper comes to visit my taste set. Synesthetically, it is the most colorful name for me, each letter shining a separate hue (rare). Also, shortlisted. My current short list:Isaac James
Susanna Katherine
Lucy Caroline
Benjamin Arthur
Thomas Andrew
Alice Virginia
Samuel Peter
Charlotte Sophia
Jasper Nathaniel
Anne Rebecca
Margaret Ellen
Elijah HenryIsn't Margaret Ellen so cute there? Love.Nicknames would be Annie, Mag, and Eli.

Jasper Nathaniel, well that is just so handsome imo. Jasper always makes me happy too! ;) Margaret Ellen is really not my style. Alice, Annie Keturah and Sallie Louise are all cute, although I prefer Sally to Sallie. I also like / love: Isaac James
Susanna Katherine
Lucy Caroline
Benjamin
Thomas
Alice
Samuel
Charlotte Sophia
Jasper Nathaniel
Rebecca
Elijah Henry

I love Jasper Nathaniel.. I would only like Margaret if it had the nickname Peggy.

Jasper Nathaniel is very very nice! I like both names and they shine even better together than individually.Margaret Ellen, while not my taste at all, is very sweet. I can appreciate that.My favourites of your list are Lucy Caroline and Jasper Nathaniel.
Runners-up are Thomas Andrew and Susanna Katherine

Me likey! Jasper Nathaniel and Margaret Ellen are very handsome. I also have a connection to both names (our cat is named Jasper and my mom was named Margaret Ellen Mae). I'm familiar with most of your names by now and I enjoy most of them. I'd say my faves would be:Susanna Katherine
Lucy Caroline
Benjamin Arthur
Thomas Andrew
Alice Virginia
Charlotte Sophia
Jasper Nathaniel -- I see Jasper really suiting your taste and sense of style.
Margaret Ellen
Elijah Henry -- I discovered several years ago that I have a long list of relatives in MD named Elijah dating back to 1700 (nearly all in succession). I'm kind of sad now that I never had a son. Elijah would make an excellent mn and he'd have a great story to tell!

Jasper Nathaniel - I'm not crazy about this. Jasper is like the ultimate stuffy English name to me. Nathaniel I've never liked. I do like the nn Nat, though. I do wish I had more nice things to say. Margaret Ellen - I love Margaret. I don't like Mag, but you were probably anticipating that most people wouldn't like it. It's kind of self-consciously ugly, like screw you I'm ugly and I don't care. Ellen has never been my favorite either. It seems galumphing. I'd prefer Margaret Eleanor. Isaac James - This is nice if a bit boring. Isaac has grown on me, partly thanks to you! Susanna Katherine - Gorgeous, though I do think Katherine is a bit long for Susanna(h)Lucy Caroline - I'd prefer Caroline Lucy. Lucy seems a bit insubstantial to me. Benjamin Arthur - very handsome!Thomas Andrew - Also very handsome! Andrew is tired as a first name but I do like it here as a middle. Alice Virginia - Never have cared for Alice but I can see the charm of this combo. Love Virginia. Samuel Peter - love it! Charlotte Sophia - I've expressed my dislike for this name multiple times so I'll just leave it at that.

While I don't like either Jasper or Margaret, I think the combos are both great and fit well with the rest of the short list.I particularly like Susanna Katherine, Benjamin Arthur, Thomas Andrew, Samuel Peter and Anne Rebecca.

I'm all in favour of Margaret and Jasper, but Nathaniel and Ellen aren't to my taste at all. Since they're mns, though, who cares? And the rest of the short list:Isaac James - prefer James Isaac, or indeed James Practicallyanyone
Susanna Katherine - lovely as it is; even lovelier as Susannah Katharine
Lucy Caroline - this is a stroke of sparkling, dancing genius
Benjamin Arthur - nice one. I'd use Benjamin, nn Ben
Thomas Andrew - and Thomas, nn Tom
Alice Virginia - Alice is wow; Virginia could shorten to Ginty if necessary. Just saying.
Samuel Peter - Make it Peter Samuel and watch me perk up
Charlotte Sophia - strongly dislike Charlotte; enjoy Sophia if it's IEa, not EEa
Jasper Nathaniel - see above
Anne Rebecca - totally brilliant - shines with a soft glow
Margaret Ellen - see above
Elijah Henry - Elijah doesn't happen where I live, or at least I've never met one, and Henry seems bland and dull, so it's hard to comment

Isaac James - I like this. Classic but not too stuffy.
Susanna Katherine - I like Susanna in the first name slot. Like Isaac James, it's classic without being too pretentious.
Lucy Caroline - Love love love Lucy.
Benjamin Arthur - Benjamin is nice. Arthur is okay, not my favorite name.
Thomas Andrew - Not crazy about it. It's kinda boring. Paired together, it's dull.
Alice Virginia - I much prefer Alice in the middle name slot. Virginia Alice sounds nicer and more refreshing.
Samuel Peter - Something about the flow is off, but it's a strong name.
Charlotte Sophia - Love Charlotte. Hate Sophia. But it sounds decent together.
Jasper Nathaniel - I love Jasper. Don't care what anyone else thinks. I'd probably use it as a middle but Nathaniel grounds it very nicely.
Anne Rebecca - Boring.
Margaret Ellen - I want to like Margaret but it sounds so heavy and frumpy to me. I like Ellen though.
Elijah Henry - Not crazy about Elijah but adore Henry. Not bad.

I hate Jasper. It sounds slimy and evil to me. Margaret is heavy and clunky, and I hate all nicknames for it except Meg, but it is a classic and classy name, and there are far worse ones out there, so if a Margaret is called Meg, I approve, though it would never be my choice. Mag, however, is horrible.I like or love:Isaac James
Susanna Katherine
Lucy Caroline (especially love this)
Samuel Peter (love Samuel, hate Peter, but as a combo I like)
Elijah Henry (like Elijah, dislike Henry, but it's the middle name, so overall okay)
