The last two
I know I've been bothering you with this a few days ago, but we're down to the last two and it's getting urgent, so please help us decide ;-) Sebastian Joachim - This is my favourite, nickname will be Bastian or Seb, probably Bastian.Leon Tobias - BF's favourite. What do you think of each name and which one is your favourite?
Thank you so much!

Of those two, definitely Leon Tobias. I'm really not a fan of Sebastian, something about the sound of it just doesn't do it for me - I don't like the starting sound 'Seb', I don't like the 'bass' part in the middle and I don't like any nicknames for it. I do love Joachim though... I think Leon Joachim or Joachim Tobias would sound great, if you're open to switching it up :-)

I love Joachim too... But both Tobias and Joachim are honouring, that's why we'd use them as middle names.

Both are good names.
How are you pronouncing Joachim? Sebastian is reasonably popular where I live.Sometimes it's even hyphenated----Jean-Sebastian, or Yves-Sebastien. Almost never nick-named.

We'll pronounce it YO-ah-khim.
Where I live Leon is much more popular than Sebastian.

Sebastian Joachim is very, very handsome. Suitable for a little boy, but especially for a grown up man. There's nothing wrong with Leon Tobias, either. It has a different feel to it. My problem is that I, for some reason, can't picture it on a real person. And I absolutely hate Tobias for personal reasons. So yeah, I would go with Sebastian Joachim.

I'd prefer Leo Tobias over Leon but it's still nice.

As much as I like the name Sebastian, I prefer Leon Tobias.

Hmm, honestly, I like Bastian Leon but thats not your options!

That's not bad, but Tobias and Joachim are family names, so one of them is going to be baby's middle name.

My favourite based on which first name do I like best - which is really what matters since middle names are for birth announcement cards and namenerds :) - would be Sebatian Joachim. Seb and Bastian are both great. I think Leon Tobias flows really well though - way better than Sebastian Joachim.

I was thinking that too... I love Sebastian and it has nice nicknames, and Joachim is my favourite out of our two possible middle names, but Leon Tobias does flow better.

If the choices were between Sebastian and Leo, I'd absolutely choose Leo since it's my fave male name, like ever. Having said that, that extra letter makes a huge difference to me and I can't say that I love Leon. I've only known one, an elderly man at church, who was very kind so I tend to think of elderly men when I think of Leon. I do, otoh, really like Sebastian so that's an easy choice for me to make.BTW, our family had a dog named Sebastian for over 10 years. He was wonderful and we called him Bastian. LOL, I'm not telling you this to turn you off the name. I just wanted to say that before my dd named him (her dog), I hated the name. I mean, really hated it. I grew to love it in no time and now view it as one of my favorites. It's so handsome.I also know what it's like to want to have a name squared away before the birth, however, you may need to look at him to see what he looks like. Much luck to you and please let us know how it goes!

I know, maybe we should see what our little guy looks like first. But the fact that we haven't picked a name yet is making me pretty nervous. There's so much to think about before and when our baby is born, and having a name squared out would be one thing less to worry about. Also, I had some contractions a few days ago, it was a false alarm, but the baby will be here soon.

I'd like Leon Joachim the best, but out of those two I prefer Sebastian Joachim.

Sebastian is stylish indeed. I prefer Seb to Bastian, which is very unemployed-underclass where I live.I'd like to be polite about Joachim, but nothing works. Joel, Joseph, even Johan would please me more.Leon where I live is middle-aged at best. Tobias probably would be older, but it's not that important for a mn. Leo Tobias would work for me, or Tobias Leon or Leon, nn Toby.
