Re: Opinions on these girls names
Adelaide - I like it. It used to be on my list.
Aitana - I don't like this at all.
Alba - This name became unbelievably cute after a fanfic I read once. XD So I like it.
Alva - There's a town where I live named this, which was my first encounter with it, so it doesn't feel like a name to me. Plus, I just don't care for the sound.
Cassia - Eh. Nah.
Della - Dell / O'Dell are family names for me, so I've considered using Della as a middle for a girl. I think it's sweet and earthy.
Elowen - I realize it isn't one...but it looks like a Lord of the Rings name to me every single time I see it. It is pretty though.
Elva - Dislike it more than Alva.
Freya - I don't get why people like this name so much (most times. Every once in awhile, I'll randomly see some appeal).
Ginevra - I really like it, but it may be too tied to Harry Potter.
Gretel - I don't care for it, but if it has to be used, I would much rather see it used as a nickname for Margaret (or some other variant), as it is a short form.
Keeva - I kind of like the sound, but I don't care for the look all that much. It's too modern and trendy looking. The original spelling is too complicated for the States though.
Laurel - It's soft, and I want to like it, but I never really have done.
Lorelai - It's a kind of neat name, but I don't like this spelling.
Luella - It seems very stereotypically country/"redneck" to me.
Maisie - Cute, but I don't like it as a full name. I would use it as a nn for Thomasina, which is non-standard, I'll admit.
Milena - It's just not attractive to me.
Nina - Bad associations with this name.
Perla - I like Pearl, but Perla makes me think of chickens for some reason.
Raya - I don't like the sound or spelling.
Tilly - This is super cute, but I don't like it as a given name. That said, I don't like Matilda, which is what it is a nickname for.
