Re: Kids My Sister Watches
I love Beatrice. Lincoln is nms but I don't dislike it.It makes me think of Abraham Lincoln but then it also makes me think of Lincoln Nebraska, Linkin Park, Lincoln town cars, and Lincoln Logs.I prefer Abraham over Lincoln so if I was using the name because I wanted to honor our 16th president I'd use Abraham instead of Lincoln. I'd call him Bram because it is cute and unusual. It's not as noticeable of an honoring name as Lincoln would be but I wouldn't care.

Do you know this already? My five-year-old grandson is named Abraham after Abraham Lincoln (well that's partially why he was given the name, my daughter likes the name a lot apart from that also) and he's called Bram. I've mentioned it before so you might already know.

Yeah I remember. I didn't realize Bram was a nn for Abraham until you mentioned it years ago. Now whenever I think of Abraham or Bram it reminds me of your grandson.I used to dislike Abraham when I was younger largely because I didn't like Abe as a nn but I really like Bram. This past week I was thinking of the name Bram because of the character Brom Bones from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It's a long tradition with me and my mom to watch the old Disney version together which we did last week when I was visiting my parents. I love Bing Crosby's narration and singing in it.

I love the Disney Sleepy Hollow also. One of my sisters keeps calling my grandson Brom instead of Bram.
