When I first heard this name I thought boy and the first Avery I met was a boy. Then my father's best friend has a nephew named Avery, I met him on a camping trip.
I've met one or two girl Avery's but it never has felt right to me. Just looked at the stats and I'm amazed how popular it is right now for little girls. Probably will me some more female Avery's in the next few years.
