If you were naming a real boy right now
What would it be with first and middle names? Not a guilty pleasure or fantasy name, but a real, livable English spoken name. Please put it in your subject line. :-)

Ephraim Alexander LorenzoGood strong names I like from my family tree. Ephraim is an ancestor who fought in the American Revolution. Alexander is a common Scottish name in my Maternal Grandfather's family. Lorenzo is after my Paternal Grandfather.

Emmett LaurenceEdmund Laurence has been at the top of my list for a couple years now but I'm starting to like Emmett a lot more. Laurence honors my paternal grandfather and I was named Laurie to honor him.

Caspian Sherlock WalterI love all 3 names (especially Caspian), and there's a (deliberate) literary theme.

Louis Oleander JohnI adore the name Louis and John and can't see having a son without using those names at the moment. Oleander is similar enough to Alexander I don't see an issue with it being used. Yes, it's poisonous but the flowers are absolutely beautiful.

Mars Evander...todayCould just as easily be Abram Leander or Caspar Layne

Lucio OsvaldoLucio is one of my faves, Osvaldo is honoring one of my uncles.I know Osvaldo is a form of Oswald, a name reviled in the US and UK, but in Brazil the name doesn't have any major negative associations.

David Leo "Davy"David after my dad, Leo after Pope St. Leo the Great (it's his feast day today).

Peter DesmondThis combo has been rock solid in my head for decades. The only thing that could possibly sway me into Desmond Peter is if my husband, Pete, doesn't want a namesake running around.

Carl FletcherFletcher is in honor of my dear nana. It's her maiden name.

Ashley Jacob Evander or Mordecai Zia StormFiancé is okay with naming a boy Ashley but not Mordecai so Mordecai is if I was on my own.
vote up1
Miles Avery or Miles OliverAt the moment I'm leaning towards Avery for the middle name.
vote up1
I really like Miles Oliver, so handsome.
vote up1
Griffin HenryConsidering I just had a little man named Griffin Henry, I'd have to go with this one. :)
vote up1
Love love love this combo! Griffin is one of my favourites and Henry balances it perfectly. Great choice, and congrats on your new little one.

Theodore Ignatius Stewart / Theodore Percival Stewart / Theodore Gustav StewartReally can't decide on a MN at the moment.
vote up1
I love the first two of these combos!
vote up1
Theodore Ignatius Stewart is excellent. Ignatius is a bold middle name that works remarkably well here.

Alexander David

Oliver ReidSo conflicted on this, I have a lot of trouble with boy names. My adoptive son's middle name is Oliver as well so I'd be hesitant to actually use it but this is the only combo for boys I like. I like Bennett Reid but it's a little too last namey. Maybe Wyatt Jett.
vote up1
Oliver Reid is great and I do like Bennett Reid too. I think Wyatt is great, but not with Jett, they sound too similar. Wyatt Reid or Wyatt Oliver on the other hand would be gorgeous.
vote up1
Ooooooh Wyatt Reid, that's making me swoon a little bit.
vote up1
I love Oliver Reid!

Nice combo and I'm not even a huge fan of Edwin.

Nathan MichaelYeah, I know I'm boring.
vote up1
I love Nathan. Unfortunately alexander really does not like any name that is common. No Rachel, no Nathan, no Hannah but he loves Nathaniel, Anastasia, and Raphael. Drives me crazy.
vote up1
I like a lot of common names. Nathan has always been handsome to me, and Jeff likes it, too. In the off-chance we ever have a son, this is what we would name him. Michael is honoring.
vote up1
Malcolm AllanAccording to my subconscious I want to use Steven Alexander. I dreamed it had a little boy named that last night.

August Felix Matthias nn GusAt least that's what I'd probably go with, but in reality I'd have to take a short list to the hospital and decide when I met him. The short list would be August, Griffin, Oscar, Grover, Deacon, Ezra & Boston. But August is my long term fave so would probably go with that.
vote up1
What a handsome combo, so nice. Great to see someone actually loves the name Felix too! August, Griffin, Oscar and Ezra are all so nice.
vote up1
Thanks :) My favourite thing about Felix is the meaning. It's such a great meaning! I like it for a first name too.
vote up1
I love this combo!
vote up1
Thanks :)
vote up1
So handsome! Love it!
vote up1
Thanks! I really love your August combo too. Never thought of that one before but it's a great pairing.

Damon MarshallAssuming my husband liked Damon. I don't know if he does or not. If not, it would be either Raymond "Ray" (don't know if he likes), or Nicholas "Nick" Marshall (I know he'd use). Marshall because it honors someone on my husband's side (used one from my side already). I like "flow" but in real life, I don't give a rip about flow as long as nothing sounds strikingly ridiculous.
vote up1
Theodor Kjell AlexanderorTheodor Kjell Noah Alexander
Kjell is honoring my grandfather. Theodor is also a family name, but I'd use it just because I love it.
vote up1
Conrad Isaac
vote up1
Keiran GarethI'd prefer Ciaran Gareth but at least the last time I checked my husband only likes the spelling Keiran. It's a boys name that we both love. Gareth would honor his mn which is Garrett. Then if we had another son he'd be Arthur Magnus. It would make a theme of Arthurian names as well which my husband and I are both fans of. Arthur would honor his favorite grandfather and it's kind of reminiscent of Albertus Magnus.

vote up1
Arthur Magnus is a smashing combo. I really like Kieran too.
