Critique my list pls. . .
Hey Folks,
Here is my short list for a sibling to match Clarisse Bituin Gioia [Surname]. I'd like some feedback, and welcome re-combination suggestions as long as the names maintain their position (first name, middle, 2nd middle). GIRLS:
Vianca Buwan Giosetta
Belraine Amihan Giada
Camille Reina Ginevra
Mirielle Dalisay Giustina
Marie Perlas Gisella
Noelle Mayumi Gilda,
Leontine Prinsesa GiudittaBOYS:
Dashiell Edward Giotto
Blaise Roberto Giuseppe
Evren Charles Giacomo
Roderic Hollis Giosue
Lazlo Josephus Giordano
Caspian Edward Giulio
* first are names we like
* middles for girls are Filipina (DH is from)
* middles for boys are parents/grandparents
* 2nd middles are Italian names that start with "Gi-" for my parents (from Italy). ______________________________________________

Of the already made combinations, I like Marie Perlas Gisella, Blaise Roberto Giuseppe, and Roderic Hollis Giosue the best, and I think they go along well with Clarisse. Other possible combinations:
Marie Dalisay Ginevra
Marie Mayumi Gilda
Roderic Edward Giulio
Evren Josephus Giuseppe
Blaise Edward GiacomoSome names that might go along with your preferences are Calandra, Bellamy, Gabrielle, Bianca, Carmen, Lydia, Petra, Katarina, Miriam, Danielle, Elaine, Lavinia, Lena, Cecily
Boys: Dante, Everard, Nico, Raphael, Lucas, Armand, Dominic, 2nd middle names:
Girls: Gina, Griselda, Giorgia, Gianna, Giorgina
Boys: Giovanni, Giancarlo, Gino, Gianmarco

Thanks!
Marie Mayumi Gilda packs quite the punch in a good way, love it. Will make note of the others too. Some of your suggestions are faves of mine (Bianca, swoon... but vetoed). Carmen is on our long list along with Danielle.
Lavinia and Lovina are two of my faves that were also vetoed. Will suggest the rest... Calandra and Bellamy are quite pretty. Calandra Mayumi Giuditta
Bellamy Perlas Ginevra
The guys names are not on my list and will be inspecting those! Thanks. The Italian suggestions are good too, but they are pretty common in my family (Gina and Giovanni esp.) so I stayed away. I do like Giorgina though. nice.

Why do only the girls get a Filipino middle name and only the boys get grandparent names?Anyway, I think Leontine and Camille go best with Clarisse.
I like Belraine and Marie the best.
I think Noelle and Marie are a little too plain to be sisters to Clarisse.
I think Vianca seems difficult ... though nicknamable.
Mirielle confuses me because I keep reading it as Mireille. I'd rather see either Miriel, or Mireille. Mireille goes well with Clarisse. For the boys Roderic gets my vote. I also like Hollis. Roderic and Clarisse is contrasty but in a neat way.
And Evren, Caspian, and Dashiell are alright and go well with Clarisse. Lazlo and Blaise don't appeal to me much, I feel like they are weirdly slippery, but Blaise goes well with Clarisse.

DH vetoed all of the Filipino male names (though I happen to like Bayani and Nemuel). He likes the idea of using his father's name as a middle, etc. Anyway... I agree with you on Mirielle, as I prefer Miriel. We learned that a lot of people here cannot pronounce Mireille, so it is unusable no matter how much I love it. I honestly love Murielle (fr) or Muriel (en) too. Thanks for your opinions, they are helpful. Marie and Noelle are actually my sisters' middle names, so I go back and forth on whether they work.
My favorite is Belraine right now, but am unsure if it is usable IRL and what to combo it with. Belraine Amihan would mean "falling rain of the monsoon". Leontine Prinsesa is a close second... I mean who wouldn't want to be named "the Lion Princess"?

I think the best girls' name is Mirielle Dalisay Giustina. I love the way Mirielle Dalisay sounds. It's so delicate and elegant. Giustina is okay, but of all the Gi- names you have, Giuditta is my favorite and so beautiful, so I'd swap Giuditta for Giustina. Marie Perlas Gisella is pretty too. Perlas has a similar sound to Pearl, but it's much prettier and less dated. Marie is classic and Gisella is just sweet. For boys it's a tie between Evren Charles Giacomo and Roderic Hollis Giosue. Both are wonderful just the way they are, although Giosue might hard for Americans/English speakers to pronounce. Since it's a second mn it's not a big deal, though.

I grew up with the name Gioia, so I know about pronunciation issues!
It was never a real problem to me, since I knew that people couldn't be expected to just know how it was pronounced.
Our little Clarisse has Bituin as a middle, which confuses ppl, but works.
I prefer Giosue over Joshua anyway, so I hope it's workable too.
Thanks. Giustina and Giuditta are swap-able.

Thanks. It was a typo. I like Laszlo too.

Oh, I love Laszlo Josephus! Neither of those names get used enough. I think Laszlo Josephus Giuseppe would sound a little better than Giordano, though, at least to me ear. Camille Reina Ginevra is just perfection. I can't think of any way to improve that one!All of your names are really good, though. I can't point at any of them and say “I don't like it.” They're all great!

Thanks. I like Laszlo Josephus with Giuseppe... will note it. Camille Reina Ginevra is DH's top choice too. Though, maybe the spelling Camille Reyna Ginevra as it is more traditional - not sure yet.
