More interesting names from the village
This is a continuation of my Year 3 Names post for anybody who read that. This week I returned to the village junior school working with 8 and 9 year olds in Year 4.Names that stood out to me:
Lysandra
Nicky (girl)
Aurelia (pr: or-RAY-lee-ah)
Ocean
Xandre (boy, pr: ZON-dray)
Delphi
Jazmine "Jaz"
Tillie
Eady (pr: EE-dee)
Freddie
TylerWe had some duplicate names too, Lucy and Millie of which there was two.
There was an Isabelle and Isabella, they both went by the same nickname but one spelt it Izzy and the other Izzie (don't know which is which though). Also, I found out that one of the girls from year 3, Ivy, has an older sister called Esther. My constantly changing PNL:
http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/117870?sort=rating&pop=ewTop rated = James / Henry and Alexander :)
Bottom rated = Kacey and Kim :(

Really, Tyler stood out to you? I like Delphi and I have a know a few Nikkis, though I guess Nicky is the boy spelling.

I've never met a young Tyler. In fact I only know one Tyler, and he's 18/19.It stood out to me more so because of the other names around it, this isn't the kind of area I would expect to see a Tyler.

I have a soft spot for Aurelia.
I like Tillie & Freddie as nick names.I really dislike names that use z's instead of s's to seem edgier or "unique". I like all flower names typically though, even the super-used ones like Jasmine and Lily.Lysandra is elegant, too.
