Another QuestionWhat do you think of Tom on its own? Meaning "the end" in Hebrew?

I know a little Jewish boy (aged five) called Tom. I assumed at first that it was short for Thomas but it was explained to me that it is in fact a stand alone Hebrew name.
He's a lovely little lad and the name certainly works for him. They pronounce it Tom as in Tom for Thomas.

When Tom is on it's own I prefer the spelling Thom. Just seems more complete.Like Rachel Shaina said I'm pretty sure it would be pronounced 'tohm' in Hebrew.

Like it, but am pretty sure it's not pronounced like the first syllable in Thomas. Pretty sure it's TOHM rather than TAHM.

I really want to say Bartolomé, but that might be a bit farfetched.

Somebody with the last name Thomas, Thompson, Tomlinson, Tompkins, etc. Or somebody whose initials make TOM.
