Re: Rollan

Pardon my dense-ness, but what does the Roll part rhyme with? (I'm so bad at those phonetic pronunciations.) When I saw Roland, "Rol" sounds like roll and troll. That would have been my inclination with Rollan as well - to basically say "rollin'" like "rolling" without the g. So if that's not what you are going for, I'd say that yes, it would be mispronounced often. Is the "Roll" supposed to rhyme with tall and crawl? Three boys nappin', one mama namenerdin'

Yes, the Roll part would sound similar to doll, tall or crawl

Then I'd either be prepared to correct people (not a terrible thing, just depends on your personality) or maybe spell is Rawlin.

I don't mind correcting people, people say my daughter's name wrong all the time (either call her Amelia or stress the wrong syllable and say it like ah-ma-LEE-ah). But the overall feedback I've gotten on the name just hasn't been great. Ah well, maybe it'll just have to be a middle name.
