Etheria
What is your honest opinion/image of the name Etheria/Etherea?

Etheria is pretty, but I automatically picture it as a magical kingdom in a fantasy novel rather than a persons name. If I saw it more, I would probably adjust to think of it as a persons name. Definitely prefer the spelling Etheria.

It would be permanently incongruous. Far from being etherial, Etheria will start her life with smelly nappies, go on to muddy knees, fall off her tricycle, forget about her Geography test and fail it, get a hopeless crush on an Older Boy, develop acne ... and that's just in the first twelve years. Add to that the resounding nn of Eth, and reconsider!

Um, ridiculous. Too close to ethereal. Completely over-the-top.

I like it. Very ethereal.

It would be great for a fantasy character.

I'm ambivalent (assuming you mean for a real person). It's pretty, and fabulous.
But it's flaky and gimmicky too, since the word ethereal is evocative but it also connotes insubstantiality ... a lack of weight and importance in the world.
If my daughter had a classmate Etheria I'd think it was neat and interesting, but I would not want to go through life named Etheria, myself.
