Natalia and Tasha - Too similar?
I'm thinking about naming one of my characters Natalia, but I'm concerned that the name is too similar to another Character's name. It's Tasha (it isn't short for Natasha or anything) and they don't interact that much, but her brother calls her Talia.Do you think they are too close or not?If not, if you could suggest some names that would be fabulous! Thanks

If they aren't from the same family, then no, I don't think they're too similar.

I think that stories should emulate life, and in life you're going to meet people who have similar or exact same names. I don't think it's too similar that it can't be forgiven! :)

Not for characters in a book that hardly see each other. If they were real life sisters then yes far too similar.

This is in a book? No, I think that's fine. It's realistic. People with similar names interact all the time.

Thanks for your advice. It is for a book, by the way.If you don't mind me asking, it's another similar name question but it's about siblings. Now I don't have children myself, so I don't first hand know, but I can imagine it would get confusing, having a brother by the name of Lucas with a sister named Lucy. Especially since the first three letters are the same, but I imagine some parents find that endearing.I know I only asked about the first thing, sorry for asking another one. Thanks again!

Personally, I often say the wrong name for the wrong kid and I have three with completely differing names. Lucas and Lucy is ridiculous to me, together in a family. So problem, ask away!

Thanks. I was planning on changing it because as I started writing I started to get confused. That was before I even added the nicknames! Thanks once again.
