The other names my parents were considering for me were Shelby and Stephanie. Sure am glad they went with Shannon! Although Stephanie is ok, I guess, but I don't feel like a Stephanie. If I was a boy, my name would've been Kyle. Shudder.
And just for fun, other names we were considering for our son (Benjamin) were Patrick and Lewis, and if he had been a girl his name would've been Margaret. Our daughter is Margaret. Back-up names for her were Genevieve and Annemarie. Never picked out a boy's name because it was too hard, but probably would've been Patrick.
