HelpRe: How tempting are the initials P.P. ?

Ask yourself, would be my best advice. If your parents had named you Penelope Peters, how would you feel about your initials?
I think I'd be a bit annoyed but not devastated. I'd roll my eyes every time somebody else noticed "Oh, hahaha your initials are PP." I would definitely ask my parents why they didn't name me something that didn't start with P. So your child probably would also ask that at some point. How would you feel if they asked you? If it far and away the favourite name of both you and your spouse and you feel comfortable telling your child that if/when they are annoyed by it, then go for it. But if that makes you wince a bit, maybe try another name.
