Re: Names I dislike
second your dislike for Liam, Olive, Tabitha, and Blythe, nor am I particularly fond of Amber although I wouldn't go so far as to say I dislike it.The rest of the names I like or am indifferent to. Alice is one of my favorite names. Paul- good strong name, masculine but not boorish
Gavin- handsome and not overly used. I love that it is a form of Gawain, knight of King Arthur. Gawain was one of the most virtuous and likable knights especially known for the 5 courtly virtues.
Brian- nice and with an interesting history. Reminds me of Brian Boru.
Adrian- a little weak but not bad.
Ethan- nice but overly popular right now.
Liam- dislike, sounds unpleasant Olive- children are not food, and if it were me, I wouldn't want to be constantly affiliated with small, round fruit used as a relish or snack.
Laura- nice
Alice- Beautiful, nice meaning and not too unusual or too common
Lisa- okay but I associated this name with people in their 50s.
Amber- not a huge fan of gem names.
Tabitha- makes me think of a Tabbby cat and little old ladies with far too many cats.
Blythe- light, bright, and gay (in the original sense of the word). It doesn't seem like a name to be taken seriously.Aubrey- okay
Robin/ Robyn- Love Robin on a boy. It's okay on a girl.
