HelpRe: What's the closest name to your own you'd use IRL?

I'm an Alison. I wouldn't use Alice, Alicia, or Alyssa. Alix would be ok. I actually love the idea of using Ada, Adele, Adelaide, Adela, Heidi, etc, since it's a connection, but subtle enough that only namenerds will get it.
My middle name is Vanessa, and I'm willing to use that. Esther, too.
