My former son-in-law had a friend who was always called, by everyone except his girlfriend, A.J. In his case it stood for Aaron John, but I like Abraham more than I like Aaron. I decided to go ahead and throw John in there with Abraham -- it's a borefest as a first name, but in the middle slot next to a three-syllable name it has an understated elegance.
