Interesting name...
Hey, guys! I know it's been a while. I've had a lot going on, some good, some bad. Anyway, as some of you might remember, I work in the local history and genealogy department of my county's library. My primary job is processing archival collections and my secondary job is teaching genealogy classes. Today, I was processing a collection and the name of the woman who created it was...
Theoxenia
I kinda like it. Thoughts?

This is epic.
Seriously, as someone who enjoys both studying names and Greek...awesome. Makes me feel warm inside. :)

Interesting, I agree, but a bit much for me. I wonder if the X is pronounced like a Z or a KS.
I wonder how it is pronounced but I like Theoxenia in theory based on how I want to pronounce it. I also like the meaning behind the name.
I always enjoy stories where gods or powerful figures test people's hospitality while disguised as someone who is poor and / or old or in need for some other reason. I like how the people who are kind are rewarded and those who are not are often punished or taught a lesson. Also reminds me of Disney's version of Beauty and the Beast.

I don't like it at all. The "xenia" bit throws me off.
Neat. So it'd mean, like "hospitality of God", right?
It has theo in it so my husband would love it! Im not a fan.
