Names that you hated, but then began to love
Julian, once one of my most hated names is now...growing on me. Not sure why, but I'm really starting to like it, especially the Julien spelling. I also had the same feelings towards Donald and Abigail (though I consider Abigail just okay).
Have you ever felt that way about a name before? And I'm not talking about names you didn't care for or mildly disliked, I'm talking about names you hated with a passion, but then suddenly began to love.

Honestly I think it'd be easier to list names that I loved and then hated, but I'll try!
Rebecca. Yes, I abhorred my own name. I tried to change it when I was in pre-school to Jasmine, and the discontent continued until I was about 14-15. I always found it plain and boring. I think it's sweet now.
Hugo. A year or two ago this board was crazed over Hugo and with every new post I was going crazy. I can't say I love it now really but I think it's charming.
Meredith. Miriam. Henry. Caroline. Barbara.

When I was younger, I used to hate James so much that I vigorously crossed it out in my name book. Probably had something to do with the fact that there was an annoying kid in my class with that name, though...
Now it's on my "would use" list!

I have never had that happen. I never quite understand when people describe that happening to them.
I can totally relate to being indifferent to a name and then starting to like it. But not the hating to loving transition.

I've had plenty of names go from hated to meh or from meh to loved, but truly hated to truly loved? I can't think of any.
Tallulah might come closest. I used to think it was so ridiculous, but now I think it's pretty cute.

Hamish. It used to drive me crazy, but I absolutely love it now!
That is Edward for me, I couldn't stand the name at time, now I love it.
