Which would you consider usable IRL?
I love the name Holly - partly because it belongs to my dear sister, but also because it is adorable and has pretty imagery. I also like the name Hollis (with or without the sisterly association) and would totally use it for a boy. My question is whether these other "Holly-inspired" names are usable (see below).
I am aware that some are not legitimate historical names. Holliday
Holiday
Hollyn
Holland
Hollie
Holt
Hollin
Hollace
Hollianne
Holda
Holdine
Holden
Boy or girl - you decide!______________________________________________

The only ones I would consider usable are Hollie, Holden, and Holda. I guess Holt and Hollianne wouldn't be too far-fetched on a real child. Holdine might work too. Holden and Holt are definitely masculine - Hollie and Holda sound feminine.

Hollianne is cool, I like that!I also enjoy Holland and Holliday. As for genders, I'd say the following:Holliday - unisex
Holiday - f
Hollyn - f
Holland - unisex
Hollie - f
Holt - m
Hollin - m
Hollace - unisex?
Hollianne - f
Holda -f
Holdine -f
Holden -m

I think any of them could be used, but I like some more than others. Favorites:
Holly
Hollis, though I'm not sure about Hollace. Hollis is my SIL's step-mother's name, and I've grown to like it for both boys and girls.
Holt
Hollianne - I sorta love names with -ianne endings. Hollianne is going on my long list.Neutral:
Holiday
HollandDislike:
Holliday - I wouldn't mess with the spelling of a common word.
Hollie - Same.
Hollin & Hollyn - Both remind me of "hole in" and "hollerin'."
Holda - Hold a what?
Holdine
Holden

I think Holland (m/f), Hollie (f), Holt (m), and Holden (m) are usable. I'm not a fan of Holland but I can see it working.

I would use Holland and Hollis for boys.

I'd use Holden and Hollace, but I'd spell it Hollis.

Hollis is one of my favorites. I found Hollace on the submitted names section of BtN. I wasn't sure about it, since it reminds me of solace.

The only Hol- name I would consider usable is Holden.

I think they are all usable.

Holliday - I think the double l makes it pretty confusing.
Holiday - weird but usable, I guess
Hollyn - fine. Trendy-ish looking enough to be usable. Girl or boy? I say girl
Holland - fine, I actually kind of like it. Could you handle the questions about whether it's because of the country?
Hollie - Of course it's usable, but I don't like that spelling
Holt - of course it's usable. I don't mind it at all
Hollin - Boy right? Not bad.
Hollace - Not nearly as good as Hollis
Hollianne - Cute.
Holda - I guess that would work. Like Hulda and Hilda. I don't like it, though.
Holdine - Sounds kind of brand-name-y
Holden - Yup, a great one
