Opinions on these combos
I will grant that these combos may be a little safe, but they are ones that my husband & I have actually mentioned using for children when the time comes in a few years. Of course that means they might change, but what are your opinions? Some other names we like will be at the bottom. Are there are ways you'd rework the combos? Other names you think might go well? Thank you!*=family nameJulian Edward*
Arthur Jacob*Rose* Isabelle (wouldn't mind something punchier for a middlename here. This is just my go to)
Matilda Emily or Emily MatildaOther names we've mentioned:Adelaide, Athena, Camille, Eleanor, Fiona, Gabriel, Raphael.Other family names:
Anthony, Brian, Stephen, Charles (or female forms: Caroline, Charlotte), Zelda, Mollie, Mary, Ophelia. Sorry if this is asking too much!

I love your boy names, especially Arthur Jacob. Rose Caroline, Rose Matilda and Rose Emily would all be lovely. I also like Emily as a first name a lot. I have heard how popular it is but I only know one so to me it still sounds up to date and I dont think it will be overused in this generation.

Julian Edward* - Handsome, masculine, timeless combo. I like it.
Arthur Jacob* - I don't like Arthur, but Jacob is nice.Rose* Isabelle - I love the idea of Rose for a fn, because you don't see it much as it's always a mn. I don't like Isabelle for a mn because the names run into each other imo.
Matilda Emily or Emily Matilda - Both combos are nice, but I prefer Matilda for the fn. Other combos I like are: Rose Adelaide
Zelda Charlotte
Mary IsabelleGabriel Stephen
Raphael Jacob

Rose Adelaide
Rose Annabelle

I'm not a big fan of Matilda and Emily is pretty but SO popular on my age group. I have a hard time REALLY seeing any freshness in it. I like it better than Matilda, but Emily Matilda is sort of blah to me. Emily Zelda
Emily Caroline
Emily Charlotte
Emily Fiona
Emily Isabeau
Emily Marissa

Thank you for all the Rose combinations! That's sort of how I feel about Emily, but I like Emily well enough, and my husband loves it. That is why it is in consideration. Emily Zelda has a nice punch to it, though.

I think both these combos are very nice. I also like the other family names you have listed.

The opposite of safe is risky, and risk-taking isn't a naming value for a lot of people! A safe name is safe because virtually everyone will recognize it as respectable, and how can that be a bad thing ...I love Julian Edward.
I dislike Arthur Jacob. Just has such clunky sounds IMO.I like Rose, but the combo Rose Isabelle sounds like a weird sentence (rose is a bell).
Matilda Emily and Emily Matilda are both nice. I don't know which to put first. It depends on what you care about. Emily is like your basic cardigan, a Mary or Julia, it might not be fresh-styled but it'll never be tacky. Matilda is more like a contemporary cut of a shirt - when it's out, it's ugly (but it probably won't go out in her lifetime).Fiona Charlotte
Gabriel Anthony
Stephen Arthur
Mary Caroline
Charles Brian
Julian Raphael
Julia Gabrielle
Zelda Juliet
Emily AntoniaRose Emily and Rose Matilda would be pretty faultless IMO. I'm partial to Rose Emily. I just love the pretty sounds in it, and the names are strong.I also like Anneza's suggestion of Mary Camilla.

Rose Matilda... that is solid in my book, and I'm sure the hubby would love Rose Emily.I'm also loving Fiona Charlotte.I'm so glad to see Antonia in a combo too. Thank you.

I like your boy combos; I also like Stephen very much, Brian somewhat, and Anthony as a mn.The trouble with Rose Isabelle is the hissy middle. Ro ziz abel. So a different middle is definitely indicated! Rose Caroline would be very lovely, as would Caroline Rose.
Emily is one of my all-time faves, so I'd use it as a fn. Emily Matilda is delightfully medieval!I dislike the French spelling of Isabelle unless people use the French pronunciation, which they mostly don't. Isobel Rose would also work nicely.Camilla, rather than unisex Camille, Eleanor, Fiona, Caroline and Mary are all very good. What about Mary Camilla? Very distinctive.

I agree about the hissy part of the middle name, and I love the spelling of Isobel. I think it isn't well known in my group. I've always been afraid they'd say Iz-Oh-bell. I do like Rose Caroline. I think Mary Camilla is a very nice combo.I will never have enough children for all the names I love. Haha.
