First names to go with a short last name.
My last name is Scott. Every name that I love is pretty short or starts with an S. What are some names you can think of that would sound good with this last name? Would it be weird to have a one or two syllable name with such a short last name? Or would it be weird to use an S first name with an S last name? Some of my favorites include:
Cora
Claire
Ella
Paige
Noel
Stella
Svea
Suri
Annabel
Eleanor / Elea (ee-lay-uh)
Anya
Edda
Silas
Ezra
Asher

Seth
Simon
Edmund
Quinn
Ephraim
Ramsey
Lev
Reuben
Remiel
Samuel
Reuel
Shiloh
Shia
Noam

For me, these all work just fine with Scott...
Cora
Claire - though one syllable, the sound is open, "airy" enough to feel a bit longer
Ella
Noel
Annabel
Eleanor / Elea (ee-lay-uh)
Anya
Edda
Ezra
Emmanuel (mn)
Ephraim
Reuben
Remiel
Samuel - I always say this as 3 syllables so the "s" sounds are far enough apart
Reuel
I definitely feel the names ending in "s" don't work with Scott, but begining with "S" may be fine for longer names, such as Solomon Scott. Don't see anything wrong with that, personally.
You've got lots of nice names here. Of your girls, Annabel Scott and Cora Scott are my faves, but I also like Eleanor Scott and Anya Scott a lot. Of your boys, Ezra Scott, Ephraim Scott and Reuel Scott are my faves, but I'm also fond of Samuel Scott.

Of your girls, I think both Cora Scott and Edda Scott are adorable and refershing combos.
While I like some of the other names on your list, those one seem to match the surname best. Since Scott ends in such a sharp sound, I am seeing that names with a vowel ending sound best. Ella Scott works as well, but I think it is a bit saturated in the States as a name right now.
For the boys... many will work well:
Ezra Scott, Asher Scott, Simon Scott*, Ramsey Scott, Reuben Scott, Samuel Scott and Shiloh Scott all sound well when said aloud.
Edmund I cannot decide on.
Of those, I like Simon Scott and Reuben Scott the best. Both are classy names and make the combo seem both mature and strong - while still being cute choices for a child.
Hope that helps!

I think these sound fine with the surname Scott:
Cora
Ella
Annabel - I prefer Annabelle as it looks more complete to me
Anya
Asher
Emmanuel (mn)
Edmund
Ephraim
Reuben
Samuel
Shia
My faves would be Annabel Cora for a girl and either Asher Emmanuel or Reuben Ephraim for a boy. I love your boy list by the way, such gorgeous names. I think using a one syllable name is too choppy with a one syllable surname. I would also try and steer clear of s heavy names as it can be a little hard to say with the surname.
