Evelyn- It's a lovely vintage choice ready for revival. I love most Eve related names.
Maya- I like this to an extent. I find it a tad empty.
Nadine- This has grown on me, especially with the softer "nah-DEEN" pronunciation.
Heather- Still dated, but not a terrible name.
Mary- It would be refreshing to see on a child today, but ultimately I still find it dull.
Lux- Doesn't sound like a name to me.
Geraldine- Still too old for use today.
Alberta- I'm not an Albert fan, and this doesn't improve it.
Mona- I find the teasing potential too great, but it's otherwise a nice enough name.
Christa/Krista- It seems like it belongs in the 80s with Heather.
Felice- This is nice. It could grow on me.Horace- Should hang out with Geraldine.
Percy- I find it whiny.
Nigel- This is adorable, even if it's the stereotypical British name.
David- My brother's name, so it's difficult to separate it from him.
Akira- I find it too feminine in sound for a boy- obviously that's a culturally based thing.
Hans- Similar to Nigel in that it's become almost a joke name.
Neville- Nerdy.
George- Never cared for it very much.
Oliver- This is my number one boys name right now. It's so stuffy and cute.
Willem- I prefer William.
Zeus- I don't think I can take it seriously for a real child. It would be great for a dog though.

Evelyn -- I think this dates me, but Evelyn seems so dowdy to me.
Maya -- Meh, sounds insubstantial, even though it isn't really.
Nadine -- Okay. Unlike many French names, not too sticky sweet.
Heather -- I really dislike it. Its former massive popularity is a strike against it, as it is for all formerly massively popular names, but in this case, I can't understand it was ever massively popular to begin with. So ugly. That TH sound in the middle. Yuck.
Mary -- YAWN I CAN'T TAKE THE BOREDOM WHY NOT NAME HER "HEY YOU"
Lux -- Not pretty.
Geraldine -- Can only think of my overweight middle-school-age friend.
Alberta -- Fugly
Mona -- Sounds like "moan". Nuff said.
Christa/Krista -- So bored with all "Chris" names.
Felice -- Makes me think of a doe for some reason.Horace -- Comical.
Percy -- Only a black guy can pull this off.
Nigel -- Foppish, but a black guy could pull it off.
David -- Despise. Not sure to what extent the fact that I was neck-deep in boys named David during my childhood and adolescence affects my opinion.
Akira -- Too foreign, can't judge.
Hans -- Ditto what I said about Akira.
Neville -- Foppish like Nigel.
George -- I just don't like.
Oliver -- Want to like, but don't.
Willem -- Okay.
Zeus -- No.

I like:
Maya, Heather, Mary (and Felicity/ Felicia but not Felice)
I don't mind:
Geraldine
For the rest, Lux is silly and soapy and Mona sounds whiney. The others are not to my taste.I like:
Nigel, David, George, Oliver

Evelyn: One of the old-lady names that suddenly got popular. It's like Lillian that way, but it lacks Lillian's minimal prettiness.
Maya: Pretty. Much nicer than the whiny Mia.
Nadine: Nice, especially as a middle name.
Heather: Very pretty.
Mary: Yawn.
Lux: Nothing sucks like an Electrolux. Can't picture this on a real person.
Geraldine: Ugly.
Alberta: Even uglier.
Mona: One of those pulpy 1950's femme fatale names.
Christa/Krista: Great. I like Krista better.
Felice: Yuck.
Horace: Cold and stiff and pompous.
Percy: Sissy.
Nigel: Stereotypical British stuffed-shirt name.
David: Great, never out of style.
Akira: Only on a Japanese person. And even then it sounds like a sports car.
Hans: How do you make a German jump? Yell, Hans up!
Neville: Nigel's equally pompous brother.
George: Not bad at all.
Oliver: Slithery and wimpy.
Willem: Slurred version of William.
Zeus: I picture Zeus as a huge, hhaggy and goofy dog.

Evelyn - Eh, it's okay. For some reason, I can't love Evelyn and I especially hate Evie too. I never liked it a lot but it's growing popularity doesn't help. It's not like Charlotte for me that I can over look it's overuse because I like it. It seems like the new 'I want an old fashioned name for my baby' kind of name.Maya - I like it! It's short and sweet.Nadine - I like Nadia more but Nadine is okay.Heather - I used to really love this name when I was younger? It makes me think of a rock n roll kind of chick, not sure why. I still have a soft spot for it (and Holly) but I do think it's dated.Mary - Never liked Mary.Lux - I like Lux. I think it would make a funky middle name.Geraldine - Is awful and I hate it. I hate Gerald as it is.Alberta - Geraldine and Albert should be sisters of awful names.Mona - Like it as a nickname, although I'm not sure for what name. But I'm not crazy about it as a full first name.Christa/Krista - Hate it.Felice - Looks too close to feline for me to like, even though I love Felix.
Horace - Wouldn't use it as a first name but I think it'd make a nice middle, but I feel like I say that about a lot of names.Percy - Never a huge fan.Nigel - Thornberry!David - A nice, strong name. But nothing special on it's own.Akira - This looks like a girls name to me. Probably becuase of Kira.

Evelyn - Sounds old like Carolyn and Darlene, and I feel like it has a greasy quality.
Maya - OK. I like Maia or Maja, but not Maya so much because Maya makes me think of the spiritual concept (which seems negative) and of the ancient culture which would make a weird name for a person.
Nadine - old.
Heather - might still be too dated to use at the moment, but I love it. It's both earthy and luxuriant, and feminine without being pretty.
Mary - one of the greats. nms because of the BVM
Lux - so fake and tryhard!
Geraldine - old and not very appealing.
Alberta - I like this. It's a little clunky but it's bright and grounded just like Albert.
Mona - moaner. Nope
Christa/Krista - I used to adore the name Christa. Now I think it's just nice. Krista is nice too.
Felice - hm. I don't personally find it appealing. Seems masculine? It's not awful, but nms.Horace - bad sound.
Percy - softer than I like, but still nifty.
Nigel - okay. seems to be getting old, and also a little bit self-consciously British
David - friendly and appealing name, dated tho
Akira - hard to say much about it except it makes me think of Kurosawa, whose films aren't my thing. I guess it gives me an impression of broad, expansive... landscapey?
Hans - seems smooth and dapper. nms really
Neville - like Nigel only more so, and dandier.
George - roundly ruined for me by characters and people
Oliver - decent name, I don't care for the mumbly sound
Willem - like Hans.
Zeus - a little doggie but okay, a decent name as eccentric "my dad's ego" names go.

Evelyn -pretty. Sort of fashionably blah but very elegant
Maya -boring pretty
Nadine - sweet and brassy. 50s poodle skirt Chuck Berry sock hop. I get this strong image of an old dial telephone, for some very odd reason.
Heather - soft, dusty, neautral, inoffensive. Grandma's flower arrangements. Or, 70s feathered hair and angora sweaters with initials sewn on.
Mary - limp. I loves it's quaintness, but is never use it just as is- it's such a one-size-fits-all polyester uniform that it begs to be accessorized.
Lux - pleather. Cool but manufactured. Like something your pick for a video game avatar
Geraldine - crochet and Peter Pan collars and vintage floral wallpaper in seafoam. Tea sets and costume jewelry. I really love it in a protective way, but I like nearly all "-ine" names. It's too ugly-clunky for RL I think.
Alberta - love it. Bright and smiley but shy and humble. Plus I love "Bertie"
Mona - stretch thin, like taffy about pull apart. I don't know there's just something sort of somber and like, nauseating about. Ugh just focusing on it too much puts a lump in my throat.
Christa/Krista - Christa is sparkly and professional. Krista is lazy and "kewt"
Felice - if I ignore the sites info on this and just say "feh-LEECE", I like it. A bit to close to "fleece" though Horace - gross, hollow, raspy. Medieval butcher covered in blood.
Percy - meh. It's weak and sniveling to me. But I know if I met the right person I could be swayed.
Nigel - nasally faux-euro
