Dh and I named Beacon. He wanted Hamlet, I wanted Whitaker. We both liked Beck, but it felt like it should be longer, so we called him Beckon. But last night, dh kept calling him Beacon, and we ultimately decided we liked Beacon better.

My daughter named Charlie. She insisted on Charlie. She had Charlie picked out "for a girl" before we even got the ratties. She wanted to name a baby sister Charlie.

My son picked Mia. Everytime we asked him what the rat's name was, he said "Me," so we adapted. Officially, she's Mia, but mostly, she's Mi. Because it totally matters what a rat's "legal" name is.
