I especially love the totally unexpected ones like:

Agree that people don't really know why they named their kid what they did - unless it's directly after a name sake. Someone asked Alexander where we got Miriam, he told them that it was because of a strong woman in the bible. I could list lots of reasons but it comes down to the simple fact that it felt right.

Atom was featured on Nameberry this week as a "totally new" name. I guess I have heard it before, but that could be because I went to a sciency college and all of the other Physics and Genetics students came up with science-names. Tesla was by far the most popular, if I remember right.
Anyway... I noticed the ring vs heartbeat comment too. I guess it is sweet if you think about it. I just rolled my eyes unfortunately... but am glad to think better of Diamond's parents now.

Though, I have to say that it is a bit hard to see names with class mixed in with all the trashy choices here. And, I base a lot of that trash category on the reasons behind the name... I mean "Lee because that is my favorite denim brand"? Um, yeah...
Anyway:
- Alaric James - fantastic name! Alaric is a fave and love to see it used.
- Aiven is not my style and the description is ridiculous - though Aven or Avis would have been cool.
- Alastriona Elizabeth!
- Um, Aleighana and Kelleighann have a sister named Elizabeth? I foresee jealousy.
- Aloysius Patrick is actually pretty cool.
- Arwen Undòmiel? Yess! LOTR fans unite!

Uggh, I posted something similar that I found on a 'mommy' page on facebook. Not as many but some equally bad names. A lot of the reasons are cringe worthy but at least some people own up to making it up instead of saying it means beautiful, power sun goddess or something.
