Thoughts on this name for a girl?

Piper always has that trendy feel. I know it boomed in the 90s with the TV character of Piper Halliwell, and has been used since. I actually know a two year old with the name too. While I like those quirky p-names (like Posie, Poppy, Pepper, Pixie, Pipra, etc)... I never really take them seriously myself. So - I would say that this name is usable and cute, but a little too cutesy for my tastes.

Negative. Piper is silly and Lynn is dated.

Piper, while it isn't my favorite, is still nice. Lynn in the middle name spot does nothing for me, just like Lee, Anne, & Grace do nothing for me. There is nothing creative about it.If it is honoring that makes it better.

Sorry, I don't care for Piper. Skip me if you don't want to read anything negative about it. The name Piper annoys me. It's known because it was an actress's screen name, and it's popular because of another actress, so it seems like it gets all its appeal from the image of a Hollywood actress. To me it seems like a similar style to names like Sailor, Sawyer, Riley, and Parker for girls. Also the raw image I get from Piper is kind of icky ... something in her mouth, and a shrill or chirpy tooting sound? The only positive thing is that it vaguely evokes mid-20th-century aviation, as well as Hollywood. But I doubt the next generation would be conscious of that association. Most likely it will annoy me less as the fad passes. I do think that an L initial following Piper is a good choice because of how it flows. (as long as it's not Liadan, ha)

I appreciate your response. Honestly, I wasn't aware of the Hollywood associations or its rising popularity until after I started considering it, but those are good things to keep in mind. I don't want my daughter to have a faddish name.

Hate it. Piper won't grow with a kid and doesn't sound feminine at all. Lynn is way to bland by itself. You would need to use it as a suffix.

Lynn is super super boring as a middle name. Unless it has really important significance, I'd ditch it. Yawn. I like Piper, but it's getting very popular.
