Having some doubts
Here we go again. This time it's my husband's fault :-)Baby is due in May, we decided on Paul Conrad, but my husband brought up Gabriel again... I adore Gabriel, it's one of my long time favourites. My husband loves it too. It's one of the first names we agreed on when I got pregnant and it was already on our list when I was pregnant with Myrtle too. But in the end my husband thought it was "too biblical". Apparently, he's changed his mind.
So what do you think of Gabriel? I do want to honor my father, so Paul would have to be his middle name. Using Gabriel as a middle is not really an option, because I love it too much to put it in the middle name spot. So maybe Gabriel Paul? Thought?Mommy to Myrtle Nola (22-10-2012) and baby due 25-05-2015

If you both love it, what is there to doubt?Check out some other Gabriels to drawn inspiration from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabriel_(name)Also, Gabriel Paul is so meaningful for the two of you, and incredibly handsome.

For me, personally, it's a bit hard to let go of the idea that my son would have the same first name as my dad, Paul. But we can use Paul as a middle name. I'm not sure. I just wish I could make up my mind. But I think my DH is totally sold on Gabriel now.

I prefer Gabriel to Paul, Paul is a bit boring. However, I'm not sure I'm crazy about the two ls at the end of Gabriel and Paul.

Two middle names?Ok, so right now we're thinking about Gabriel Paul Conrad or Gabriel Conrad Paul... But would it be weird if Myrtle only has one middle name and our son has two?

My older son has two middle names, and the other two, only one. They are adults now,and I don't think the one-middle-namers have ever been bothered by their brother's two. It's not something to worry about.

Gabriel Conrad Paul does sound nice.I only have one middle name and my brother has two. I was upset for a bit as a child that I only had one, but when my mum pointed out that he only has two middle names as he was named after his grandfathers and my middle names would have been Hilda Elizabeth (I hate Elizabeth) so I felt ok after that!

I like Gabriel Conrad Paul the best, it has the best flow. But I like Gabriel Paul on it's own as well. And I don't think it's weird at all! I have two middle names and so does my one sister. My other two sisters only have one.

I wouldn't think it was weird. Apart from the birth announcement, most people will never know what their middle names are.I think Gabriel Conrad Paul sounds the best out of all the combos you've listed. I like how Cobrad breaks up all the soft sounds in Gabriel and Paul.

I think that if you love Gabriel Paul, go with Gabriel Paul =)

I like Gabriel a lot more than Paul, and Gabriel Paul sounds okey. However, I think Myrtle and Paul match better than Myrtle and Gabriel. But they're siblings, not a pair of something. So it's not a huge deal, and if you both like Gabriel more than Paul, then go with it :)

Gabriel Paul is much nicer! Gabriel Conrad would be even better.

I know, it sounds better... But then I wouldn't be honoring my dad, and that's very important to me.

I love Paul Conrad. I think it is a fantastic combo.
Gabriel Paul is meh... there's nothing special about it. I don't know if you care about popularity but Gabriel is also much more popular than Paul. Paul seems so timeless and elegant and Gabriel is childish and annoying. I don't dislike Gabriel, I just think Paul is so much nicer.

I like Gabriel Paul the best, so that gets my vote.
2nd choice Paul Conrad
3rd choice Gabriel Paul Conrad

Gabriel is not terrible, but it's kind of whiny to me. If your husband initially thought it was too Biblical, why should he suddenly go for Gabriel Paul, which is two Biblical names together?
At any rate, Paul Gabriel sounds better.

Well, I prefer Paul Conrad of the options... however if you did use Gabriel, then Paul is the perfect choice for a middle, significant or not. It really grounds the frillyness of Gabriel, while reminding everyone that both names are classic. Gabriel does sound decent next to Myrtle too. I don't know. I see your dilemma. I personally think I would stick with Paul Conrad, but would still think you made a good choice if you ended up choosing Gabriel Paul.

I prefer Paul Conrad. Paul Conrad Gabriel maybe?

No, I love Gabriel too much to use it as a middle name. It's a first name or I won't use it at all ;-)

I was going to suggest Paul Conrad Gabriel as well :)I love Gabriel too, but I still prefer Paul Conrad to Gabriel Paul. Either way, they're both very handsome combos :)

I prefer Paul Conrad, I think the two names in this combination go so well together, but if you love Gabriel Paul then you should go with that. I think Gabriel Paul sounds a little choppy but I definitely think love of a name trumps the flow.http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/149886

Paul Conrad is better imoI don't like Gabriel Paul because he is then bound to be Gabe - Paul Gabriel would be better.

Gabriel Paul is so great. I personally think it kicks Paul Conrad's butt. I don't think Gabriel is "too Biblical" at all myself, either. It's sexy. Gabriel Conrad Paul would be nice too! Then you get ALL the names.
