Oh, wow! Such an eclectic collection. I'm in a rush, here, so I can't go through each name individually to say what I think. Definitely interesting, though.
I would assume the parents were young, modern, creative Americans who have travelled Europe somewhat extensively, or plan to in the future, and they want their kids to be free-spirited, polite, and well-educated.

Spot on about the extensive traveling part! 49 countries and counting (most of the European!) and thats exactly the impression I'd want my kids names to give.
