I came across the name Andris the other day and found myself really liking it. What are your thoughts? And combos you especially like using this name in either the fn or mn position?Check out my ever changing name list! http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/137889Mom to Amalia and Jon

The -dris part does not sound very pleasant to me. I'd prefer Anders.

I think it is hard for me to figure out how to pronounce it. What do you think?I can only think maybe And-rees or And-ris with an (ih) sound.I think it is better as a first name, as usual I like classic middle names:Andris Peter
Andris Felix
Andris Edward

It depends if you’re using Latvian or Hungarian pronunciation. You can hear both here:http://www.forvo.com/search/Andris/hu/

Hmm, I like it. I like Andrew, but rarely any other forms of it. I couldn't quite pin down what I'd like to pair it with best. It seemed to work with a variety of things for me. So here are some:
Allen Andris
Andris Benjamin
Charles Andris
Andris Damien
Andris Emanuel
Andris Haven - maybe my favorite, there is something a bit seafaring about it, so I dig this combo
Linden Andris
Andris Nathan
Peter Andris
