Re: Frilly girl names
I kind of like this idea of frilly names with masculine-ish nicknames or just shorter nicknames. I like Charlotte nn Charlie and Georgiana nn Georgie. One of my friends has a daughter, and they named her Andrea but call her Andy. Some that I like...Andromeda "Andy"
Calanthe "Calla"
Demetria "Demi" - I just don't think I could ever actually use this because I don't really want people thinking I named my daughter after Demi Moore or Demi Lovato. I actually just love Demetria and the association with Demeter. But that would never be anyone's first thought.
Parthenia "Thena"
Magnolia "Nola"
Amedea "Ama" or "Day"
Kerensa "Ren" or "Wren"
Serafina "Sera"
Wilhelmina "Willa" or "Minnie"
Lucienne "Lucie"
Calliope "Callie"
Fiammetta "Fia"
