Character\writing
I've heard of this site here and there but never knew there was a comment section so I fiqure I'd give this a stab. I won't be a regular much. Just once in a while when I really need guidance or assistance about names (mostly characters)This is for a male character and I just need help narrowing down the surname possibilities. No name suggestions. Its definitely down to this list (: I realize that I'm the author (obviously (-: but most of these surnames flow with the forename and I am struggling to decrease the list
ThanksMorgan Bombeck
Morgan Bradshaw
Morgan Dearinger
Morgan Delaney
Morgan Donley
Morgan Ellerby
Morgan Greenwood

I like Morgan Donley and Morgan Ellerby best. Morgan Greenwood is nice too but feels more poetic, so depending on the character....

How realistic? If the story is sort of larger than life, like he's the hero of a detective story, most of these will work. If it's a very realistic character, though, I'd go with Donley. It seems more modest and ordinary, not pretty or stylish sounding like a name an author would pick for a hero character.

For me, Morgan Delaney and Morgan Ellerby are the ones which stand out as sounding most interesting; definitely leaning toward Ellerby as my fave. I tend to enjoy combos/full names more when the number of syllables, or which syllable is stressed, is varied. Of your two-syllable surname options, I think Bradshaw sounds best.

My top pick would be Ellerby, followed by Bradshaw as a second pick. To me, a Morgan Ellerby sounds like an outgoing, excitable kind of Morgan while a Morgan Bradshaw is more of a serious, intelligent Morgan.I don't know what personality your male character has but I think I'm going to stick by my picks.
