I never heard of these names to make up an conclusive image about how these people would look or behave like. I need to be really firmiliar with a name in order to create a more detailed image (:Sorry

As for pronunciations, a lot don't make sense to me as they aren't consistant enough for me to piece together any sort of pattern. Aaegan - It reminds me of Iagan, which, I'm not positive but think is pronounced "yAY- gan. Spelling isn't so intuitive. If you're going to use an extra letter I vote for Aaygan. It's sort like a "leading lad" sort of name. Aemoritz - I really don't understand the front 'A' here. It makes the name seem like it's suppose to be said "EE-mor-itz," like the 'Ae' in Aesop ("EE-sop"). Stick with Emoritz if you want a soft 'e'. This one feels unisex- it's either the graying old male sage, or else the spritely heroine. Aidoris - it's fine. Also sounds unisex- mother or father figure of protagonist. Aoben - the sound is ok. It sounds a bit like a contacted form of Oberon. Again though, I think the front 'A' is unnecessary. Even switched around as Oaben, makes more sense. Quiet oafy sidekick to leading ladAuvir - looks nice enough. I think "AW-veer" sounds more nameish. This one works for many different characters I think. I can't quite put my finger on one in particular but it does feel like a suave male. Ayrosa - this paired with Aidoris is confusing to me. I'd be more inclined to pronounce "Ay" as a long 'A' and "Ai" as a long 'I'. The sound is kind of awkward but not terrible. She's the servant/hand-maiden/best friend of heroine. Zoffany - I enjoy the feel of it in my mouth, but it sounds more like a surname I think. Zyle - I'm surprised this isn't already a hit in the upcoming-trend circuit, or rather, I'm surprised I haven't encountered a BA already. Sounds mischevious. Zubert - goofy. Like a name you'd give to an alien/sci-fi pet. Zebara - zebra. Zebra zebra zebra. I can see where the sound could be nice if tweaked a bit. Maybe more as something like Cibara "sih-BAR-uh" - he sounds like an old stick-in-the-mud. Zalukas - sounds like another surname. My university mascot is the Saluki, so my mind keeps going to that

Aegan isn't very interesting ... it's like Egan. A good old boy, golden, privileged and conforming. works
Aemoritz - haha, the -ritz part is just so Earth-y. Even the whole moritz part. I can't work with that one too well. Maybe as a place name?
Aidoris - a dark eyed woman who's well respected for her work but would really rather be doing something much more creative. I'd rather see this end in -ys. It would seem namier. this invention works
Aoben - looks like OW-ben? O-ben might be Oabin? a clownish person, fun, clever, changeable maybe a trickster
Auvir - Au- comes out Oh more than Aw, to me. Aavir or Aavyr looks more like aw-ver/veer (aw like hawk). Auvir is cruel, long faced, elder and has authority.
Ayrosa - Iroza? a protagonist, ingenue who comes of age
Zoffany - eh. I'm not liking. Too much Tiffany in it. Zaapheny? Zaafni? Zofany looks like the O is Oh, to me anyway. AA is aw / o as in gobs. Zoffany looks like it would be a surname, and have three syllables.
Zyle - Zial? Zaayil? an underdog
Zubert - not a great invention ... Tzubaerd?
Zebara is too much like zebra...
Zalukas is a wholesome dad sort of guy, a good guy, reliable and competent. This is a good invented character name IMO.

All the A names puzzle me. Why are there silent vowels? If you're making names up for a story, no one who reads it going to know which letters are supposed to be silent. You do have rules for your language, yes? You aren't just tossing together letters that look good?Hunting for rules, at first I thought A was silent when word initial (fits with Aaegan, Aemoritz, Aoben) but for Auvir and Aidoris, the A is pronounced but the second letter changes how it's said..? "au" makes "ah" and "ai" makes "A", just like "ae" makes A? But "a" seems to have "A" as it's default pronunciation, so is it actually a silent "i"? Same thing goes for Zebara (which, by the way, totally looks like Zebra). It starts with a 'z' but it's pronounced with an 's'. No one who is reading could possibly know that, and you'd have fleets of people saying your characters names wrong.

You are right, the names are just made up names, not any type of language. Making up names is a stress reliever for me, So I am really am unaware and not very good with language, linguistics...but I love making them up. Maybe they are not your style?
just say so and I will move on...

Oh, I see. I'm sorry if I sounded cross or something? I didn't mean to. I thought maybe you had rules but they were too complex, what with silent letters and things, for readers to be able to pronounce the names right.
Stories that have made-up names that don't follow any kind of logic or consistency is something that really gets to me, you see.But if you're not planning to use them for stories and this is just a stress reliever, then it's a different situation. For stress relief, the rules are "do what you want cos a pirate is free..."Auvir and Ayrosa I like a lot. The first would be for an older man who lives in a wine cellar, and the second for a girl who loves long, swirling skirts (:
