Maria has become my number one girls name so of course that has me thinking about sibling names. I'm leaning towards more classic names but I'd like to see what other people think.
What would you name a sibling to a Maria? Which from the list below do you think would work best?

Maria and Isobel is super cool. I kind of imagine Maria and Isibeal as well, like a Catholic Irish type sibset.
I also really like Maria and Beatrix. Maria and Beatrice is pretty but less interesting.
I like Henrietta but it doesn't really work with Maria for me.
Likewise, there;s a lot of pretty names, but stuff like Maria and Rose strikes me as super boring.
From the boys', I love Caspar / Casper, but I think it works best in a more interesting sibset. Maria seems very plain next to it.
Maria and John is super boring but I could imagine seeing that in real life.
I do like Maria and Francis and Maria and Jonas. Maria and Frederick and Maria and Alexander could also work.
I think the problem is, as I've said before, Maria is pretty but so bland, any name that's more interesting (in my eyes) looks mismatched next to it, and any name on the same level of uninteresting-but-nice makes for an uninteresting sibset. That's just me.
I tried to think of other names that could make a sibset as well. I didn't do a very good job, but what about:

Maria and Isobel, Maria and Frances, and Maria and George are some of my personal favorites. As in they're not just on the list to see what others think. So yay! :)

Ah, Caspar and Maria would be an amazing sibset!
I also quite like Maria and Rose.
However, most of the names you listed match, because Maria is one of those versatile and lively names.
Harriet would match the least of the girls, and Ralph of the boys though. Simply because they have the same dated feel, but not the timeless tone. They kind of bring Maria down, if that makes sense.
If I were using Maria (and I would actually use Marie realistically), I would pair it with Josiane or Edgar.
I also tend to think of Maria in very Italian terms, since I have so many Marias in my family. My Zia Maria has a twin brother named Nino - so those flow well for me.
I also have a dear cousin named Maria-Grazie... so Grace seems like a logical sibling to me as well.

After reading your opinion and others I definitely see how Ralph and Harriet dull Maria down.
Josiane and Edgar would be amazing siblings to Maria. I honestly might steal the Josiane idea since it would honor my father, brother, and I all in one name. Okay, and probably Edgar to. But just because he's so funky! lol

Maria and Sylvie! This would be perfect. The names are so sweet and delicate together. A close second would be Maria and Harriet, if it wasn't for the repeated REE sound. They'd probably end up being Marie and Harry, and that's just silly.
I could also suggest Maria and Elspeth, Maria and Grace, or Maria and Joy.

Those were the first names that came to mind for me when I was trying to decide what sibling names would sound best with Maria. It's nice to see you chose those in particular. :)

I like Isobel & Maria and George & Maria best, but most of the options work. Henrietta is fun, but with Maria maybe a bit too reminiscent of this lady: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrietta_Maria_of_France

Ooh. I wasn't familiar with Henrietta Maria of France. Henrietta and Maria wouldn't work as sisters unless there was another child between them. Good to know.
