What spelling sounds more natural? Faris or Farris?
So I asked the question earlier here but I want to clarify more points:1- I went to court this morning with the papers in my hands, but didn't submit it because I wanted to further consider the spelling.2- I'm changing my Full name to a totally different one. I can't tell you why but I can tell you that I won't choose Ferris because it brought up sex offenders and some disturbing search results when I looked up my full new name with the spelling (Ferris). So I have to choose either Faris OR Farris3- Faris looks simpler but its widely used as a 1st name in Muslim countries. What would you imagine a Faris on a job application would look like? (It matters to me)
I know its not a big deal, but if I can choose my own name now, I think it makes sense to avoid any potential issues no matter how small.4- Farris kinda looks more professional but it brought up death sentenced guy with different but close name lol Its no big deal either.. maybe Farris is more common than Faris(except for Anna and Sean Faris ?) Please tell me what you think. and again. Ferris is out of the question, and I'm changing my name no matter what..I have to..

I would go with Farris.

Well, personally I wouldn't choose Farris in your situation but if you are completely set on it then whatever floats your boat I guess. If you want the pronunciation "fehr-ISS" like the Ferris wheel then I would go with Farris, I would pronounce Faris as FAH-ris. with a very short second syllable. I'm not sure why having a Muslim name would cause you problems on job applications. Are you like a butcher?

Farris seems more intuitive.

Farris seems more English to me... I would assume someone with that name would spell it this way.

My question is if you're changing your name completely why choose Faris/Farris/Ferris at all if you seem to have all these issues with the name? I'm sure there are plenty of names out there that you wouldn't question so much. From the looks of it it seems you prefer Farris. So if you set on having Faris/Farris/Ferris, just go for that one.

I spent 1 1/2 years deciding. I read ALL the names on this website first and last, among many other websites.
I have an excel sheet with each name pros and cons and combination rating. (Yeah I got that crazy lol)I ended up with this name and I very much like it, and If I had no Faris or Farris, I would choose Ferris even with all the disturbing web search results. So you recommend Farris?
