I have never heard of Raymonde. It doesn't seem particularly feminine, but it's not bad either. My understanding it that the pronunciation is ray-MAWND. So would you pronounce Rémi RAY-mee? That's cute!
I don't think the pronunciation is too hard to explain to people.
