Would this work in real life?
https://youtu.be/aEYq6oANyrYNot the name itself, but the concept. -------------------

The concept, yes, if the initials actually could reasonably make another name. Personally, I think that honouring "everybody" that way sort of waters it down to not really honouring anybody.

I remember watching this episode when I was 10 years old or so and thinking it was the coolest idea ever and I decided I would use it one day. 20 years passed and I had my first child, this episode long forgotten, and other names were more important.
I never truly forgot it, though, and now I have a chance to use it, and with a name I love for other reasons, but not one I'd just use for the sake of using it.

I saw you mentioned Marle down below. What names/connections is it built from?

Max (my grandfather that raised me)
Ann (my cousins middle name)
Ricky (David's dad)
Luke (David's brother)
Elsie (my grandmother that raised me)
Yissy (Huck's pronunciation of Lissy, David's step mom and a wonderful influence in our lives now)Originally, Lissy would have been the "L", but right now we love the way Huck pronounces some of his "L's" Some are y's and some are w's. He yikes Yissy and wuvs Wuke, for example. I know it's silly, but I think it will be a cute memory years from now that we included Yissy.

I think the concept is kind of cute, but I'm not sure if I would use it to that extent. I think It all depends on the number of names you use and what the initials spell out.

MarleyWell, technically Marle, but that just looks silly.

I don't think Marle would be silly! I'd much rather see Marle than Marley, actually, as the latter makes me roll my eyes a smidge, in the same way Lennon and Hendrix do, though I find all three objectively pleasing. Which gender would you be using Marle for?

Part of the reason we like Marley is because of Bob. We sing Three Little Birds at least once a day. The song is helping us get through this difficult time for us.
Marley we'd use for either gender. I don't know about Marle.

I perfectly can understand liking a name because of a popular figure, but to me something like Marley is so strongly tied to Bob Marley that it seems a little silly to me. Maybe I'm just miserable and overly-critical. In any case, it certainly becomes more usable to me in the middle name spot, which I'm guessing is what you're going for? Marle could work for either gender, imo, and it has an aristocratic air about it, which I like.

It would definitely be a middle name. Would you pronounce Marle the same as Marley or would you pronounce it "marl". Because all I hear is the beginning of Marlboro.

I think either pronunciation works! I'd prefer Marle, personally, but then I didn't think of Marlboro.

There are two "L" names I was debating on. I just realized that as of right now, my son pronounces one of those names (Lissy) with a "Y" (Yissy). I think I'm just going to embrace it. I think it will be a sweet memory in years to come.
