Names to contemplate
Here are a few names I may or may not add to my list, would love to read your opinions. Shaw - I kind of like it. It's short and unusual, but not weird.
Damon - Makes me think of Damon Albarn, which is a good thing, but I can't seem to get past the "demon" thing.
Hart - A bit like Shaw, I guess.
Azalea - I'm not sure which pronounciation I like better, A-ZAY-lee-ah or A-zah-LAY-ah.

Shaw where I live sounds exactly like sure. As in "Are you Shaw?" making it pretty much unusable. It's also far too close to Sean.
Damon is okay - decent history, not a bad sound.
Hart doesn't seem at all name-like to me.
Azalea is okay, but nms. I'd pronounce it like the flower, az AY lee uh or az AYL yuh. I do like the similar Azélie & Aziliz (different etymologies)

I really don't like Shaw or Hart. Hart reminds me of the organ and Shaw just sounds unpleasant to me.
Damon is nice! I prefer Damien, but it's still great.
Azalea is gorgeous. I'd go a-ZAY-lee-ah.

Shaw: Ugly sound, like the old-timey pseudo-swear word, pshaw.
Hart: Just seems silly as a first name.
Damon: Okay but nothing special. Common enough that the demon thing feels overblown anytime it's mentioned.
Azalea: Here in the US, any pronunciation besides A-Zayl-Ya would be odd. It's a bit too flowery.

Azalea I have always liked. Well, since I heard it. It's a great choice as a spunky flower name. It has the modern letters, but the quaint vibe of being a floral name. I prefer the A-ZAY-lee-ah pronunciation, but I appreciate the name no matter how it is pronounced. I would be likely to use Azalea or Linnea as a name myself, out of all the flower names. Hart - Reminds me of the 80s girl rockers. I quite like it, for a girl. I am not a fan for a boy. I have to be honest and say that I would probably like it best on a pet. Damon. It's not aweful, but I guess I find it boring. It reminds me of Matt Damon over everything else, but it still seems like a Hallmark Channel Movie name... like super handsome but somehow corrupt almost-love-interest character.Shaw. Not bad. I kinda like it, but it seems like a nickname, or a surname to me. It is short and spelled attractively. I see it as a country hick type name, but I think it would work in a metropolitan hipster type family too. I am not fully decided, but I will give this a "good choice" for now.

Shaw and Hart aren't my favorites. But then again, I tend to not care for more surname sound names. Damon, I like. It's sounds strong and it's not overly popular.I like Azaela. I tend to pronounce it with only 3 syllables, ah-ZAYL-ya. However, of your two options, I think A-ZAY-lee-ah is the most obvious other pronunciation.
