Artemisia
What do you think of Artemisia? Is it useable or just too much? MN suggestions?:-)

I love it! I personally think it's usable. I'd pair it with a more "normal" middle name, though. Artemisia Jane is a charming combination, I think.

Artemisia is beautiful! If people can name their daughters with traditional males names then you should definitely pick a stunning and very feminine name.Artemisia Salome
Artemisia Naomi
Artemisia Magdalene
Artemisia Eve
Artemisia Yvonne
Artemisia Irene
Artemisia Zoe

I think it's usable enough. Of course it's quite over the top and frilly, but so what? I like those types of names sometimes. I think Artemisia is beautiful. I've always liked the idea of Artie as a nickname for a girl, which in this case would be the perfect balance- the very girly Artemisia and the more tomboyish Artie means it can fit anyone.

I like it, but I do prefer Artemis. It seems less fussy and more independent. Artemisia does add a more exotic flair, though. As for usability, I'd say so. It's a pretty name with loads of nickname options (Artie, Emma, Emmy, Missy, Sissy). Maybe...Artemisia Rosabel
Artemisia Lorraine
Artemisia Hannelore
Artemisia Bianka
Artemisia Siobhan
Artemisia Leilani
Artemisia Parthenope
Artemisia Jacinthe
Artemisia Leatrice (...?)Hfm. I can't seem to put my finger on what kind of middle name goes with it...

A few years back, I went through this phase where I thought using art-related names was the bees knees. I was gaga for Artemisia, Rosetti (which should actually be Rossetti, whatevs), and Dali. I think Artemisia is awesome. I loved that it was so OTT frilly, with the nickname "Artie". So cute, so apropos!Oh right, middle names.I like Artemis Jane, So maybe Artemisia Jane? Hmm. Artemisia Pauline
Artemisia Frances
Artemisia Lucy
Artemisia Ivy
Artemisia Lucine
Artemisia Moira
Artemisia Sylvie
Artemisia Sophie - aw

I think it's absolutely gorgeous! As a MN, perhaps?
Or, if you use it as a first name, combined with a one-syllable MN.
I always suggest Rose, Fern, Lark and Wren because I think they are sweet, but maybe Artemisia Lark and Artemisia Wren are too flimsy, IDK...
Artemisia Mae? Artemisia Pearl?

The more I think about it, the more I like Artemisia Pearl as well.

I've always liked it, but I think it probably is too much for naming a child, unless you can think up a terribly mainstrean nickname! I do like Mimi for a little girl. I would use it as a middle to a shorter name- Ruth Artemisia is a favourite of mine.MN suggestions:Artemisia Diane
Artemisia Lettice (although if you did use Artemisia maybe a more mainstream MN would be better!)
Artemisia Rhiannon
Artemisia Louise
Artemisia Morgan
Artemisia Roxanne (I especially love this one)
Artemisia Faith
Artemisia Annemarie
Artemisia Helga
Artemisia Nadine
Artemisia Mary
Artemisia Bethan
Artemisia Natalie
Artemisia Jean
Artemisia Pixie (guilty pleasure)
Artemisia Cassidy (another guilty pleasure)
Artemisia Estelle
Artemisia Niamh
Artemisia Elen
Artemisia Sophie
Artemisia Corinne
