Sparrow - great surname!
Wren* - a guilty pleasure
Falcon - not at all usable
Kestrel - no, thankyou
Avis - pretty cool
Aetius - hmmm, too Latin-y for my taste
Branwen* - adore, along with boy's name Bran, it's so much prettier than Bronwen
Raven - OK for a character but not for a child
Jay* - brilliant on either gender
Paloma* - love it!
Phoenix* - well, when I was ten it was my favourite...
Robin* - prefer Robyn on a girl, it's a guilty pleasure
Tawny* - cute, but not really usable
Ibis - I don't really like the 'ib' sound
Merle - nice
Starling - sounds nice, but too over the top for me
Eider - okay
Avocet - this is pretty! Is it pronounced ay - voe - say?
Merlin - I know a girl called Merlin. It's okay on either gender
Peregrine - OK, a bit pretentious
Eagle - ???
Heron - weird
Piper* - I find it a bit tacky
Jack* - okay
Osprey - seems a bit mad
Martin* - yeah, like it
Rosefinch - seems a bit ridiculous to me
Skylark - no, too similar to the horrible SkylarAurora is okay. I've never liked Rory on either gender, but don't mind Ruaridh on a boy- I just think it looks nicer. I prefer Aura as a nickname."You can have freedom, or you can have peace. But not both at once."
