Re: colour names
in reply to a message by Katie
Indigo -My name is Indy and I wish it were Indigo. Super cool name and completely usable intros day and age.
Scarlet -Love it, but if I were going to go with it, I would probably just use Scarlett because people are going to spell it tat way anyway. And completely usable. Scarlett Johansson's rocking it.
Rose -cute and obviously useable
Nilima -Not saying it's not usable, but it's a little more "out there."
Blake -I forget it's a colour name, to be honest. I find it boring and overdone because I've known dozens of them.
Ciar -cool, but maybe difficult for cultures that aren't familiar with the Celtic pronunciations.
Ruby -fine
Sable -I've met a Sable. I don't think she had a hard time with it. Go for it.
Akane -I had to look up how to pronounce it.
Kamala -I think this one is becoming more and more accessible. :)
Red -horrible, but I guess no one will mispronounce it
Siena -fine
Ianthe -Some people would mess up the pronunciation, but some would be familiar with it. Mixed bag reactions here.
Xanthe -Probably more usable than would first be imagined. Cute too.
Gray -Lovely and easy.
Bruno -Cute and simple enough. Great that it works in all kinds of languages too.
Albus -Dumbledore has this one covered enough for the masses, I guess.
Rosalba -I wouldn't suggest it, but it's okay, I guess.
