happy go lucky names
Looking for a boy's name like "Harry" that sounds kind of happy go lucky. I can't use the name Harry because the characters last name is Carey. This is a historic novel set in the late 1800s. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

What about Kit or Kip as a nn for Christopher Carey? Or maybe Ned as a nn for Edward or Edmund Carey?

Billy & Bobby come to mind.
The 1880 chart for the US might be useful to look through for others: http://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/united-states/1880

Where about's is the novel set? I will assume GB for now. It would also be helpful to know the wealth/class/status of the person, their occupation, etc.

(I didn't check what names with Carey might be famous)
