Spencer - Makes me think of a privileged, somewhat sleazy teenage boy. I cringe when I see it on a girl. I really don't get the appeal for either gender, but girls especially.
Kai - Eh. Very boyish to me, because I've only ever heard it on boys. I much prefer Kaja or Kalani for a girl.
Asa - All boy, hands down. Right there with Micah and Ezra; I really don't get why people would try to turn these into girl names. It baffles me, honestly.
Sam - Not on its own, fine for a nickname for Samantha.
Alex - See: Sam. Just substitute Samantha for Alexandra/ Aleksandra.
