I don't like Sam or Alex for either gender. Both are blah and not really exciting. They work for both, I'm just not crazy about them in general. Kai is trying too hard for either. Asa is okay. I don't have a specific gender in mind when I see it. Spencer used to be purely a boy name, and boring at that. I like Spencer a little too, and this is the first good feedback on Asa. I have a girl friend named Asa and a boy friend named Asa, so I'm a little unsure if it's just one gender, I think the answer is no, it can be unisex.
